The newly built National Geological Museum was presented at the booth of Hellenic Survey of Geology and Mineral Exploration at the 88th Thessaloniki International Fair (Thessaloniki International Fair).
The Secretary General of Culture at the Ministry of Culture and Sports Mr. George Didaskalou with the Director General of H.S.G.M.E. Mr. Dionysios Goutis in the exhibition area of the Museum.
The impressive stand of the Hellenic Survey of Geology and Mineral Exploration (H.S.G.M.E.), where the National Geological Museum of Greece was also presented, attracted the interest of the TIF visitors. In order to inform the visitors of the international exhibition, rich informative and commemorative material was distributed and those who visited the stand of HSGME had the opportunity to learn about the important research role of the Geological Survey.
With the contribution of digital technologies, visitors had the opportunity to take a virtual tour of the National Geological Museum of Greece, which aims to introduce the world of Earth Sciences to the public and especially to the younger generations.
All the political leadership of the Ministry of Environment and Energy, MPs, representatives of local and regional government, heads and administrators of public and private sector organisations and many people visited the booth of HSGME at the TIF.
Everyone had the opportunity to be informed about the scientific subjects of the Survey and its wide range of activities.
