Collection «Greece and the World»

In the center of the main room, a spacious table in the form of an inverted prism is placed to accommodate two thematic sub-units and an interaction area. The themes consist of minerals and rocks from a) the rest of Greece and b) various countries abroad. In particular, unique and characteristic samples from various areas of the country with great geological richness such as Penteli, Evia, Xanthi, Paros, Naxos, Evros, Kilkis, Larissa, Lesvos, Milos, Thassos, etc. are showcased, being part of the national geological heritage. Furthermore, in the section on foreign countries, characteristic samples of areas of America, Asia, Europe, Africa and Oceania are exhibited.
